
Soroptimist International of the South West Pacific (SISWP) is one of
four federations in the world's largest classified service organization
for business and professional women. Soroptimist International has more
than 100,000 members in 3,000 clubs in over 120 countries and territories.
The Federation of the South West Pacific includes clubs in 12 countries
and has over 3,500 members. Soroptimists are executive women of all ages,
cultures and ethnic groups who work through a Programme of Service to
make a difference for women throughout the world.

Soroptimist International South West Pacific Conference of Clubs
Soroptimist members from the South West Pacific join members
from across the world on a 'Journey of Discovery", the conference
will be held in Chaing Rai (Thailand) 6-9th June 2008. Will you be there!.

Hands Across the Borders Project Update September 2007
In purpose of our visit to PP is to sign a “memorandum of understanding”
with the Cambodian Government thus providing our organization with NGO
status. In Battenbang we will be finalising the arrangements for four
teachers from Santepep School to attend two weeks of teacher training
with Teachers Across Borders in January, the training, accommodation,
and travelling expenses has been funded by friends of our project and
Soroptimist Teachers. At the same time we will be arranging a skills update
for Nurses from the Hospital and surrounding districts, this will be provided
through RACHA a USAID Agency. In Sampolvoun planning to building accommodation
at the hospital will commence, with funding raised from the HAB stall
at Glasgow. this is an exciting time as we move to the next stage of the
