Having members from all over the world is a great asset, but meeting each other at the same time is not so easy. When our president Sharon wakes up in Canada, the people in Japan, Australia and New Zealand are already sleeping. That's why we decided to stretch the lighting of the candles, and ask all Soroptimist Clubs worldwide to light up the world in the name of a brilliant future for all women and girls.
We invite all clubs to light your candles during the 10 days before our 100 Celebration, starting 21 September on the International Day of Peace.
