Mikki Cooke is the author of the book "The Hunger: From little acorns mighty oak trees grow" and will be speaking at our May dinner meeting.
The book is autobiographical and relates the lifelong effects of childhood abuse. "The Hunger is a memoir and a tribute to those who give us shelter and believe in us until we can believe in ourselves."
